Until recently, I put my confidence in money, material possessions, other people and my ability to play baseball. This seemed to always provide a temporary fix, but never really fulfilled me.
In 2001, I suffered a serious injury. Going through this gave me a chance to reflect on my life. During that time, I listened to some tapes by a Pastor on the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I now have a new source of confidence in life. It is in my personal relationship with Jesus that I am confident I have eternal life in heaven after I die because Jesus gave His life for me on the cross, and I place my faith in Him.
Jesus has also met my deepest needs day by day. He has given me much more contentment than baseball, people and material things ever could. My desire now is to glorify Christ in all I do and do my best to be more like him.
